FAQs

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Review the most frequently asked questions and learn everything from the plans I offer, to my web design process, lead time, payments and more.
How long does it take to make a website?

This is dependent on the scope of your project. However, if you are just going with a 5 page website, lead time is about 2-4 weeks.

Do we own our domain?

Yes. Your domain will always be yours. If for any reason you decide to cancel your account, I will transfer the domain back to you.

Will my website be mobile-friendly?
Yes! Every website I build is fully responsive, meaning it will look and function great on phones, tablets, and desktops. With more than half of web traffic coming from mobile devices, I make sure your site isn’t just mobile-friendly — it’s mobile-optimized for speed, readability, and provides a smooth user experience on any screen size.
Will my website be optimized for SEO?

Yes, your website will be built with a strong foundation for on-page SEO to help it perform well in search engines. While that gives you a solid starting point, it’s important to understand that ranking on Google also involves additional factors — like ongoing content, backlinks, and competition in your industry. I focus on ensuring your site is ready to support those efforts, whether you handle them in-house or continue working with me long-term.

Lump Sum: What’s the difference between the Lump Sum and the Monthly Plan?

The biggest difference is long term versus short term costs. On Subscription, you will be paying more over time but it will be in small manageable and affordable monthly payments. The Lump Sum just gets it all out the way in the beginning and you save more money over the long run because you also paid for the design and development up front. So when deciding which package to choose, it just depends on what works better for your budget and long term versus short term goals. If you don’t want to spend a lot up front and value the service that comes with it, then the monthly is your best option. If you don’t want or need the monthly service packages, you can get it all out the way up front and save money over the long term.

Subscription: How long does the Subscription last?

The subscription plan lasts for a minimum of 12 months and is month to month after that. You can cancel at any time after the initial 12 months. If you cancel, you don’t keep the website. (If this was an option, everyone would do it and we would go out of business.)

Subscription: What if I cancel after the 12 month Subscription and want to come back?

You would just need to sign up for another 12 month contract.

Subscription: What if I cancel before the 12 months are up?

If you cancel before the 12 months are up, you owe the full amount of what the website would normally cost ($2500) minus whatever you have already paid. My goal is to establish a long term relationship with my clients and I’ want clients that share the same philosophy.

Subscription: What happens if my payment is late?

Every invoice comes with a 7 day grace period to be paid. If an invoice is not paid within 7 days, there will be a $25 late fee applied. If you’re on a subscription and there are multiple months of late payments, I can cancel the contract and the client will be responsible for paying the full price of the website ($2500 minus anything you have already paid). I am generally very flexible and understanding of certain situations and will do my best to help. But if there is no communication or replies to our messages, I have to take certain precautions to make sure I am paid for my time and effort in making the website and prevent my business from being taken advantage of.

What payment methods do you accept?

You will receive an emailed invoice which will provide you with a link to make secure payment with any major credit card. Lump Sum projects are paid with ACH bank transfer to minimize processing fees. I DO NOT ACCEPT CHECKS OR MONEY ORDERS.

Is the $100 fee per additional page a one time payment or recurring?

The $100 per additional page fee is one time only. Not recurring. So if you need 2 extra pages, that’s a $200 one time payment.

What’s your refund policy?

When you sign a contract, either the Lump Sum option or the Subscription option, if I cannot design something you are 100% happy with and you no longer want to move forward, then I will refund whatever you paid to get started. However, If I do end up moving forward with building the website, there are no refunds after that point. From then on, refunds are at my discretion.
